We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Retail & Wholesale Operations Manager to lead and develop our operational activities, supporting business growth, improving efficiency, and ensuring excellent service delivery across our retail and wholesale operations.
Job Purpose
The Retail & Wholesale Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the strategic and day-to-day operational performance of the company’s retail and wholesale activities.
The successful candidate will provide operational leadership across multiple business functions, ensuring efficient processes, effective supply chain management, strong supplier partnerships, accurate inventory control, and consistently high customer service standards.
This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical ability, commercial awareness, leadership skills, and experience managing complex operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing the strategic and operational performance of the company’s retail (B2C) and wholesale (B2B) operations, ensuring efficient delivery of business objectives and customer service standards.
- Developing, implementing, and continuously improving operational strategies, procedures, and processes to support business growth, scalability, and profitability.
- Providing operational leadership across multiple business functions, ensuring effective collaboration between sales, finance, IT, customer service, and logistics teams.
- Monitoring operational performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing trends, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing initiatives to improve efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
- Leading supplier and manufacturer relationships, negotiating pricing structures and making decisions related to payment terms, supply agreements, and commercial arrangements to achieve cost efficiency and sustainable business partnerships.
- Evaluating supplier performance against agreed standards, including pricing competitiveness, product quality, availability, reliability, and delivery performance.
- Analyzing supplier quotations, market conditions, and cost structures to identify opportunities for margin improvement, cost reduction, and operational optimization.
- Managing supplier-related commercial challenges, including pricing changes, supply interruptions, and contractual matters, ensuring effective resolutions aligned with business objectives.
- Developing and implementing inventory management strategies based on customer demand analysis, seasonal trends, sales performance, and operational forecasts.
- Forecasting business requirements to optimize stock availability, purchasing decisions, workforce planning, and delivery capacity.
- Monitoring stock performance, identifying inefficiencies, reducing waste, and implementing processes to improve stock utilization and profitability.
- Analyzing Data and ensuring appropriate inventory levels are maintained to support both retail and wholesale demand.
- Overseeing retail and wholesale fulfilment operations, ensuring effective order processing, delivery performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Reviewing logistics performance data, including delivery timelines, order accuracy, route efficiency, and service levels, and implementing improvement initiatives.
- Investigating operational issues affecting customer orders and developing solutions to improve reliability, customer experience, and business performance.
- Providing operational reports, performance analysis, and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Leading operational improvement projects by reviewing existing processes, identifying risks, and implementing solutions to improve productivity and profitability.
- Workforce planning, training coordination, and performance management activities to ensure teams have the required capability and resources.
- Ensuring operational activities comply with company policies, food safety standards, health and safety requirements, and relevant regulatory obligations.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Previous experience in operations management, knowledge within food manufacturing, retail, wholesale, FMCG, or supply chain environments.
- Strong understanding of retail and wholesale operational processes.
- Experience managing suppliers, logistics, inventory, and fulfilment operations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational and commercial data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Job Purpose
The Warehouse Assistant will support daily warehouse activities including receiving deliveries, handling stock, preparing customer orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the warehouse operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Picking, packing, labelling, and preparing customer orders for delivery. Ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage, loss, or deterioration.
- Maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and security of the warehouse and storage areas.

- Following all health and safety procedures, including safe manual handling practices.
- Assisting with the movement, storage, and distribution of goods supplied by the Company.

Job Purpose

- Safely and efficiently delivering goods, parcels, or other items to customers and business premises within designated delivery areas.
